Q : When did the website start?
A : Febuary 03 2007.
Q : Who are the Admins?
A : There's a page called "Staff", make good use of it. =P
Q : Why should I Watch anime here? I can just download it or go on youtube..
A : Our videos are converted on our own, we don't steal from other sites. Also, the quality of these videos are top notch, it will resemble the original videos! Compare that with youtube and you will see a big difference.
Q : How come you guys don't update daily?
A : We have lives outside of managing the website. Also, the whole process of getting the Series onto the site can be very time-consuming. We aren't getting paid for this as well, so do forgive us if we are slow.
Q : Can my website be an affiliate?
A : Sure, send Effektz an Private Message about it and we will consider. =D
Q : Why do we have to register to view the series? It's annoying.
A : It is a way for us to track how many users are there. Also, registering only takes up at most 5 minutes of your life!
Q : There's a lot of Pop-ups and Ads! Make it stop!!
A : Sorry, but this is the only way we can get money to pay the site, since a lot of people can't be bothered with donating or advertising.

Q : How come isn't on the website? Do you guys plan to upload it soon?
A : You can post your requests on what you want at the forums, under the "Requests" section.
Q : Are the shows in english or japanese with subtitles?
A : Most of them are Japanese with subtitles. The only one that is in english right now is Final Fantasy VII : Advent Children and Elfen Lied.
Q : Why do some of the videos have bad quality?
A : Do remember that our quality will depend on the original video's quality. Hence, if the original is bad or mediocre, ours will be the same.
Q : Some series have youtube quality!
A : We have yet to update all of our series with the latest quality, so don't be surprised if you find some weird looking videos.
Video Player FAQ
Q : Help! The video player isn't appearing! It's showing a white screen! What should I do?!?
A : First of all, if you are using Internet Explorer, it is a bug that appears occasionally. The best solution is to use another Internet Browser such as Mozilla Firefox, Opera or Safari.
Q : What's with these screen flickering in some of the videos?
A : It is a bug caused from converting a .rmvb file to flash, it will be fixed when we update the series.
Q : In Full Screen mode, there's a bar blocking some of the subtitles! Is there a way to remove it?
A : At this point of writing, no. At least it is transparent..
Q : Nothing is loading! I must've clicked the video tons of times! What's going on?
A : Do try other series as well. If it works, it might be a problem with the episodes. Do post a bug report in the Forums, be sure to read what are the Known Bugs and the Bug Reporting Format!
Q : The loading's taking so long..
A : It might be due to peak hours, where a lot of people are using the site. Be patient, our videos will take slightly longer to load since they aren't "Youtube" quality.
Q : How come the show ended before it was supposed to? Was it a bad upload?
A : First of all, delete your temporary internet files or cache and try again. Secondly, right click the video and click Settings, click on the Folder Icon and increase Local Storage Space. If the problem still persists, it might be a bad upload. Report the series name and episode in the Bug Report section of the Forums.

Q : What are VIPs and what are the benefits of being one?
A : They are Very Important People/Persons. VIPs get the benefit of no Popups/Ads. We might add more benefits to the VIPs as time goes by. Trust me, it's worth being one.
Q : How do I become a VIP?
A : When you donate, become an uploader or win contests.
Q : I love you guys, is there a way I can contribute to the site?
A : Donate! The server bills does not pay itself! If you do donate, you will be promoted to VIP Status whereby no pop-ups or ads will appear. Anoter alternative, I'm sure a lot of you know how, it involves clicking. If you don't know, ask the other members!
Q : Server Bills? Do explain.
A : We pay around 30$/month.

A : Press on the Paypal button on the menu.

A : Sure, advertise our site to your friends, in youtube/veoh/dailymotion by uploading small clips of anime and referring them to Anime Hideout (e.g. Want to see the full Episode? Go to http://animehideout.net!) or posting in Forums!
Q : I'm lazy to do advertising as well..
A : The last thing you can do to help the site is to apply as an Uploader. You can send Effektz a private message in the forums to apply for the job.
Q : What are Uploaders?
A : Basically, they are people with the job of uploading converted anime to our servers.
Q : Do the uploaders get paid?
A : Pfft, no. We can barely handle the server fees, let alone pay others.
Q : What program do you use to convert the series?
A : That's classified information. XD
Q : I spotted a website that stole material from Anime Hideout? What should I do?
A : Private Message the Admins so we can look further into the matter.
Q : Is Anime Hideout a long term site? Will it continue to be hosted in 2008 or the years to come?
A : It depends on whether we have the income to manage it.. If we are losing too much money, we will have no choice but to close it down.
